The Ministry of Education recently announced the list of the 2020National and Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Major Development Programs. The communication major of the College of Media and International Culture (CMIC) was selected as a National First-Class Undergraduate Major Development Program.
The communication major of CMIC is committed to advancing itself into a leading major both in China and abroad, to offering first-class communication studies, and to cultivating highly qualified innovators and leaders with global competitiveness in journalism and communication. To achieve this goal, the communication major of CMIC has fully implemented the requirements of moral education, taking advantage of the platform of Zhejiang University as a comprehensive university, and exploring the "trinity" model of liberal arts education, professional education, and specialized area education. This major possesses distinctive advantages as it adheres to the guidance of the Nation’s education policy, promotes courses in both theories and practices, and enhances the level of internationalized education.
At present, all undergraduate majors, including journalism and communication, have been selected as the National First-Class Undergraduate Major Development Programs.
