Bachelor of Arts in Journalism
Founded in 1958 as one of the pioneers in China, the program of BA in Journalism honors a history of more than 60 years and bears the title of National Exemplary Degree Conferral Unit conferred by the Ministry of Education. The program provides students with systematic courses in journalism and communications as well as opportunities for practices and internships. Students cultivate talents such as news-gathering, news-writing, publishing, publicizing, online-editing, planning, managing, disseminating and consulting within the realms of traditional and new media art.

The program of BA in Broadcasting was inaugurated in 1994. By taking both professional and interdisciplinary courses, and attaining fundamental skills through practices, students are well trained to be leaders specialized in multiple sectors, such as journalists in news agencies, editors in publishing houses, hosts or hostess in broadcasts, producers or photographers in film-making roles, operators of online-media platforms, administrators in publicity departments, etc.

Initiated in 1993, the program of BA in Advertising is discipline-interconnected, knowledge-integrated and application-oriented. To better students’ strategic thinking and all-rounded practical skills, the curriculum is designed from both theoretical and practical approaches to prepare students for versatile tasks on cultural influencing, creative thinking and communicative strategizing.
Bachelor of Arts in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language
The program of BA in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language began enrollment in 1999. This program merges language learning, international communicating and culture spreading in order to facilitate cross-cultural communication in bilingual situations. The systematic courses in second-language teaching and media communications equip students to work in sectors like teaching Chinese as a second language, cultural spreading, idea devising, planning, managing, as well as foreign affairs both in China and beyond.
