Today, Global common: international spread of independent body of knowledge Dean Forum was held in ZhejiangUniversity Zijingang Campus. More than 30 deans of schools of journalism and Communication from Communication University of China, Renmin University, Fudan University, Tsinghua University, Peking University and the State University of New York Experts and scholars, as well as Xinhua News Agency and other mainstream media professionals attended the forum, focusing on the topic of building an independent body of knowledge of international spread.

Zhou Jianghong, Vice President of Zhejiang University, Zhou Xisheng, Former Vice President of Xinhua News Agency, and Wu Huanqing, Director of Xinhua News Agency Zhejiang Branch, delivered speeches respectively and expressed their opinions on the goal, method and path of international spread ability construction in the intelligent era. Fang Xingdong, Executive Vice Dean of the School of Media and International Culture, Zhejiang University, delivered a speech titled Be the Advocate and Communicator of Global Commonality, systematically explaining the mission that Zhejiang University hopes to undertake in the future at the three levels of basic theory,  infrastructure and basic platform.  The conference issued a letter of appointment to the members of Academic Committee of ZJU international spread of independent body of knowledge, in order to unite academia and industry by organized scientific research. The signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between School of Media and International Culture and School of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University was also held at the conference. In the future, the two schools will carry out comprehensive cooperation in the co-construction of curriculum systems and the collaboration of scientific research projects, and jointly explore the discipline reform model and the development of the content industry under the background of generative artificial intelligence.

Xiong Chengyu, Dean of the Institute of Cultural Development and Communication, CUC; Zhang Kun, Distinguished Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication, Minzu University of China; Zhang Taofu, Dean, School of Journalism, Fudan University; Sun Lingyun, Vice Dean of ZJU, and Wu Fei, Vice Director of ZJU Humanities Department, delivered keynote speeches respectively. They analyzed the current situation and issues of the world international communication system, and provided suggestions on how to build the independent body of knowledge of international communication. In the forum, the guests discussed how to build the independent body of knowledge and how to carry out the reform of journalism and communication in the face of technological innovation and international spread.

In order to better respond to the era of international spread, led by Zhejiang University School of Media and International Culture, After discussion, the forum proposed the Global Common Truth Initiative, proposing that journalism and communication studies should be committed to building a community with a shared future for mankind, innovating China's independent body of knowledge in a globally shared, shared, and emotionally resonant way, and telling the Chinese story well.
